The Government of Ontario has announced that the Stay-at-Home order will extend for another 2 weeks, at least until June 2, 2021.
The Stay-at-Home order does not impact the provision of health care. However, to support the order, we strongly recommend that Registered Dental Technologists (RDTs) use their professional judgment and coordinate with associated practitioners (e.g., dentists, denturists) to consider deferring non-essential cases, when possible.
RDTs are reminded to follow enhanced precautions outlined in Return to Practice Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control.
The CDTO continues to monitor the situation closely and we will update you on any new provincial measures and directives impacting RDTs as they become available.
