Standing Firm Against Racism and Discrimination
We have the responsibility to take active and conscious effort to work against all aspects of overt and systemic racism. The College is committed to stand up, speak up and push back against all forms of racism. In line with our anti-racism statement, we actively disavow all forms of discrimination and racism that attempts to silence, threaten and marginalize.
Addressing Unconscious Bias
We recognize that even within the College, we are not immune to racism as it goes beyond each individual’s conscious or open hostility towards others or communities. Unconscious bias continues to be prevalent throughout Ontario and across the world which is why we must remain vigilant in transforming our policies, leaderships and actions.
