Committees

Seven (7) statutory and standing committees carry out the regulatory functions of the College and support the Board of Directors in meeting its mandate. These Committees are made up of members of the Board and may include members of the profession who are not members of the Board. The specific composition of each committee is set out in the College’s By-laws and members are appointed at the first meeting of the Board in each calendar year.

In addition, the Board may establish and maintain non-statutory Committees necessary for the effective and efficient function of the College. The Board may appoint persons who are neither Board Members nor members of the College to these Committees.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides leadership to Board, promotes governance excellence and facilitates the effective functioning of the College. In certain circumstances, the Executive Committee may exercise the powers of the Board on matters that require immediate attention between Board meetings, but cannot make, amend or revoke regulations or By-laws. It may also direct the Registrar to implement decisions of the Executive Committee.
