Thank you to those who applied to run for the District 3 (Eastern) Council election. October 17, 2022, marked the end of our nomination and verification period. Three nominations were received with two candidates eligible for election. Since there are only two seats to fill, an election will not take place. According to the College By-laws these candidates will be appointed to Council by acclamation.Congratulations to Jill Langford, RDT and William Van Evans, RDT who will begin their three-year term in January 2023. Both professional members bring a broad range of skills and perspectives to the Council’s work.
Jill Langford, RDT
Jill has been a registered with the College for 38 years and owns and operates a dental laboratory serving the Parry Sound community. This is Jill’s second term as a professional member of Council and she serves on various statutory committees.
William Van Evans, RDT
Bill has been the owner of a large dental laboratory in Oshawa, Ontario for over 35 years. He has been registered with the College since 2017 and previously served as a Director at the Dental Industry Association of Canada (DIAC).
The work of Council is central to the mandate of the College and the willing participation demonstrated by those who stand for election is an essential part of professional self-regulation. The College would like to thank Jill and Bill for their willingness to serve on Council.
