On May 19, the College received a memo from the Chief Medical Officer of Health regarding the Revocation of Health Directive #2. It calls for a gradual and incremental implementation of resumption of scheduled non-urgent and non-emergent surgeries and procedures in hospitals and community settings.
This revocation will not impact the provision of health care provided by RDTs. However, RDTs are reminded to continue using enhanced precaution for all procedures and follow the Return to Practice Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control Standard.
