How to Become a Registered Dental Technologist in Ontario

 

To practice in the province of Ontario as a dental technologist, you must be registered with the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario (CDTO). The College’s application process is designed to ensure a fair and transparent assessment of the qualifications and competency of all applicants.

Knowledge Based Assessment (KBA)

Friday, June 27, 2025 – Registration is closed.
Friday, November 21, 2025 – Registration is now open, deadline is 10 days before administration date.

Performance Based Assessment (PBA)

Ontario PBA:
Registration is now open for the Saturday, October 25, 2025
Sunday, October 26, 2025
