Recent events have demonstrated that systemic racism persists throughout society and continue to impact the lives of Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC). The College acknowledges that discrimination and systemic racism are present here in Canada, across the United States and the rest of the world.
At the regulatory level, our mandate is to serve and protect the public interest. An essential element of this mandate is to ensure regulated health care professionals deliver qualified, safe, and ethical care to their patients and clients.
The College denounces all forms of racism, injustice and discrimination within our profession and our communities. We are steadfast in operating a safe and welcoming space for all people. As health care professionals, we urge all Registered Dental Technologists (RDTs) in their roles as dental lab owners, dental lab workers and educators, to do the same within their practices.
