Inactive/Suspended Members

Inactive and suspended Registrants of the College cannot practice dental technology.

Inactive Registrants

Registrants of the College who hold an Inactive Certificate of Registration can use the restricted titles dental technologist, Registered Dental Technologist, or the designation RDT in Ontario. However, it is a condition of an Inactive Certificate of Registration that a Registrant cannot practice dental technology.

If you would like to practice dental technology, see Registration and Member Updates on how to transfer your class of registration.

Suspended Registrants

Registrants who have been suspended for administrative reasons (failure to pay fees, etc.) or as a result of a Discipline finding, may not practice dental technology or use the restricted titles dental technologist, Registered Dental Technologist, or the designation RDT in Ontario.

In order to be reinstated, contact the College at 416-438-5003 or info@cdto.ca.

Supervising Inactive and Suspended Registrants

If you are a registrant of the College who supervises an inactive or suspended Registrant practicing dental technology, this may also be an act of professional misconduct. The College will prosecute anyone who knows or should know that they are supervising the work of a Registrant who should not be practicing dental technology.

The College of Dental Technologists is located on the original land of Wendat, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples, and on the homeland of the Mississauga Credit River First Nation.

We recognize and honour Treaty 13 and commit to fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities whose ancestors have lived here for generations.
