The Government of Ontario has announced that the Stay-at-Home order will extend for another 2 weeks, until May 20, 2021.
The Stay-at-Home order does not impact the provision of health care. However, to support the order, we strongly recommend that Registered Dental Technologists (RDTs) use their professional judgment and coordinate with associated practitioners (e.g., dentists, denturists) to consider deferring non-essential cases, when possible. These efforts will reduce mobility and the number of daily contacts with people outside of your immediate household.
RDTs are reminded to follow enhanced precautions outlined in Return to Practice Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control. We will provide further updates when new information becomes available from the Ontario Government.
