The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, has issued Emergency and Stay-at-Home Order, effective Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:01 am and will be in effect for at least 28 days. These measures are being taken in response to the rapid increase in COVID-19 transmission, the threat on the province’s hospital system capacity, and the increasing risks posed to the public by COVID-19 variants. The Government’s announcement does not alter the provision of health care provided by Registered Dental Technologists (RDTs). You are reminded to continue to follow enhanced precautions outlined in the Return to Practice Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control.
