Ontario’s Stay-at-Home order ended on June 2. However, public health measures put in place under the order remain in effect.

The province’s Roadmap to Reopen is a three-step plan to lift public health measures safely and gradually. It is based on ongoing progress of provincewide vaccination rates and improvements of key public health and health care indicators. During the week of June 14, the province is expected to move into step-one of the plan.

While the province is seeing early signs of improvement, RDTs are reminded to continue using enhanced precaution for all procedures and follow the Return to Practice Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control Standard.

The CDTO continues to monitor the situation closely and we will update you on any new provincial measures and directives impacting RDTs as they become available.
