The Government of Ontario has announced that several COVID-19 measures will be withdrawn in the coming weeks. On March 21, 2022 mask requirements will be lifted in most public settings. This does not apply to health-care settings such as dental labs and dental clinics. We remind RDTs to continue following the Directive #1 requirements and the College’s COVID-19 Guidance for RDTs and Infection Prevention and Control Standard. We also encourage all RDTs to remain up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines, and to receive all doses, including additional doses, that are recommended as soon as they are eligible.
The College is reviewing its COVID-19 Guidance for RDTs in collaboration with public health agencies, relevant experts and the other oral health regulatory Colleges. We will update you when further changes are made.
