The Ontario government has now passed legislative amendments expanding Ontario’s “As of Right” provisions. These changes will allow eligible regulated health professionals who are licensed elsewhere in Canada to begin working in Ontario without delay.
For the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario (CDTO), this means that, starting January 1, 2026, eligible applicants may be able to practise in Ontario for a one-time period of six months while they complete CDTO’s registration process. Interested applicants will need to complete an attestation form and an application for a certificate of registration.
