The College of Dental Technologists of Ontario is holding elections for two positions on its Board of Directors in the Eastern District. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of dental technology regulation and make a lasting impact on your profession.

Eligibility Requirements 

To be nominated, you must: 

  • Hold a Certificate of Registration in the General Class 
  • Practise or reside in the Eastern District 
  • Successfully complete three Governance Education Modules
  • Participate in a 30-minute Candidate Interview with the Recruitment Committee between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm on Friday, October 17th – Sign up early to secure your preferred time slot!

Time Commitment 

The term for this position runs from January 2026 to January 2029. 

Each year, the Board holds five full-day meetings. Two of these are held in person, each preceded by a full-day in-person workshop. Directors also participate on committees, which meet virtually as needed at mutually convenient times. 

You’ll be expected to prepare in advance by reviewing meeting materials. While some packages may be lengthy, they ensure you’re equipped to contribute meaningfully to discussions and decision-making.

The Eastern District is composed of York, Durham, Ottawa, Simcoe, Northumberland, Peterborough, Prince Edward, Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Prescott and Russell, Renfrew, Hastings, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Lanark, Leeds and Grenville, and the Territorial Districts of Cochrane, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Nipissing, and Timiskaming.
